     Zebra Mussel Presentation

Mike Smith, the Aquatic Nuisance Species Coordinator and Aquatic Biologist for South Dakota, provided an informative presentation on Zebra Mussels on Novermber 18th, 2010, which was open to the public.  He covered the ecological, biological, economic, and human health impacts the Zebra Mussel could have on McCook Lake. Zebra Mussels are closer than you think as they have been spotted in the Missouri River. Selected slides may be viewed from Mike Smith's Presentation by clicking on the following link; (Presentation Slides)

           Dock and Boat Lift Notice
This year we have had extremely high water levels in our lake and the water does not appear to be dropping much, which could result in high levels throughout the winter months.  If necessary, please take this opportunity to remove or protect any equipment that could be damaged by the ice this winter.
